>Treat skin like shit as a teenager and young adult, basically picky as hell. Also had Trichotillomania targeting beard hairs on my face due to tons of unresolved mental issues, cheeks especially affected
>Be mid twenties now, getting untreated mental and physical health issues resolved
>Notice scarring showing up on my cheeks more and more, also had issues with ingrown beard hairs on my cheeks
>Decide to look into it
Alright, so I got the number one rule down as no more picking. What else can I do to preserve what skin I have left? I never really went outside so that worked in my favor but I also have terrible sleep so that probably deducts a few points too. I also have Seborrheic dermatitis which mainly affects my scalp but occasionally has outbreaks around my face too. I have that part generally under control, I've also cleaned up large portions of my diet and lost enough weight to get out of obesity too. It's just that I've been a compulsive picker for the longest time and it was only a few months ago that I finally started getting it back under control. What can I do to control the scarring and help preserve my skin? I don't expect any miracles by this point, but is there anything that I can still do now that could help in even a small way?
