Isn't true. The bossfights, and overall setting of Midgar were done very well. There is a good game buried beneath the bloat
It was the Nomura timejannies, and constant timewasters like Aerith high five QTEs that made me quit.

I think it's both. A large portion of this board is weebs who hate the western industry.
Even myself the only western games I buy are indie level or big strategy/autism games like Mount&Blade,CK ,Rimworld etc..
The only outliers for me in recent times are BG3 and Exp33. Otherwise, I'm usually only getting asian stuff.
