If none of the IDW staff are communicating and stories just get passed off from person to person, does that mean the entirety of IDW Sonic is just headcanon? Sure Sega technically approves of things (in that they don't want lawsuits) but if characterization is on autopilot, what is even canon in this comic?

At least Sonic Prime was adamant about not giving a fuck about anything.
