NTA, but I can't agree more with this. I will say though, the way you circumvent this is by being with a partner who you are actually in love with. This would mean the novelty of the relationship would never wear off, since the foundation of it isn't built upon dopamine releases, but the affection you have for that person. This is why so many of the old trad relationships can last for decades if not an entire lifetime without breaking apart, while the shitty modern relationships break down so quickly. Modern couples are almost forcing themselves to be together, even when they have no deep connection or chemistry with the other person, ie the novelty will wear off because their relationship is hollow and the only redeeming part of is the feely good chemicals that are released when they fuck each other, which as you said, the body builds up a resistance to eventually. Society has also put such a huge emphasis on selling your virginity as soon as possible too.

This, coupled with the fact that men's desperation is at an all time high, leads to this degenerate post teen lifestyle of fucking anything the moment they can. It is incredibly toxic, and only leads them into having an existential meltdown further on down the line. Each generation of this happening only worsens the problem too, soon (if not right now) we will have people who refuse to date at all, and will opt into fucking robots instead etc. Whether that is a good or bad thing I suppose only time will reveal, either way the way things are right now are fucked.
