Tried using twitter the last couple weeks but I still don't really understand it. My home feed is pure drivel: yank politics, hot topic propaganda from the left/right, Elon Musk drivel, football news, facebook boomer shite. Coupled with the fact I know other people are seeing different feeds, curated to them.
I don't know how to enter pockets of discussion like you would on another website. Yeah I know I can comment on a post but I don't want to post my comment in a sea of 3,000 comments on an existing post. When I'm on 4chan or reddit I know where I am, I know what thread I'm in and I can see all the other posts.
Evidently there is something I'm not getting as people say thousands of 4channers have left here for twitter over the years. If 4chan-esque discussions are happening there, I am too much of a boomer to find them. I need to stay here because I understand how to use this website with it's 2004 HTML + CSS format.
