It got delayed after a big countdown and then essentially got shadow dropped over a week later, whereas it would have released before Umamusume before then and maybe have gotten a big fat "NOW AVAILABLE" store banner to boot, something that doesn't happen in the middle of a Steam sale.
It's also entirely anti-normie. Most people, streamers included, will see it and think it's some game for pedos. Even if the game isn't porn, you're going to have a hard time getting anyone with a reputation to uphold to check a game out that might flashbang them with massive underage tits with how rampant cancel culture and all that other shit is these days. Compare that to Umamusume where anyone can play it for 30m for laughs because it's a silly game about anime horsegirls and the numbers are obvious.
