I've had a steak of horse meat before. It tasted pretty decent, but definitely felt like it occupied the same sort of culinary niche as a leaner cut of beef.

I'd eat it again without complaining, but I don't think there's ever really a situation in which I would go out of my way to choose it over a traditional steak.
