It was better to spam everyone's buffs during the waiting period until the machine mob got ready, wait until the 10 second buff and then make Raiden kill it with a nuke and proceed to the main boss right after. This way the next rotation makes Raiden match the buff timing well. Defensive mob takes longer to kill, so pray you get another one.
