One of the biggest aspect of glamouring stuff (or at least until the modbeasts came around) was to use and hunt specific piece of gear to make a good looking glam.
This was literally the main point of site like eorzeacollection.com, showing off what you can do with the restriction of your job.
If everyone can wear anything now, what's the point?
What is the point of trying to make a cool looking armor healer glam, when now you can just put a DRK or PLD set on your ass?
