It’s not about over killing dregs so much as it’s about the difference between 2 phases and 1 phase for raid bosses which is significant enough that the bonus is an issue that needs addressing. Raids which are the best content in this game should be never hinged around my teams going “yuh bro no Lodi’s Saar blaster 9000, your damage is too low “removed from fireteam”. It was unhealthy as fuck in D1 with the Gjallarhorn and it will be a fucking bloodbath in d2 with a diminished playerbase full of hardcore cynics and tryhards. Additionally I’d anticipate an enemy hp increase considering the “weapon” stat is being introduced. Yay more fucking variables effecting my damage outside of my weapon roll and ability to execute a damage rotation! I just cannot get my head this dumb ass fucking bonus change. It’s like they WANT to kill the game
