It's bad, banal and cheap writing, Alphys and Undyne work much better in comparison despite seething anons claiming otherwise because Undertale is much more simple and infantile, those are complex characters with many shades, it's a love triangle.
Noelle is only sexually attracted to Susie because she's a hormoned teen masochist who wants to be eaten by le purple T-Rex (le ebin deer jokes), she doesn't actually love her. She also loves Kris but gradually forgot about it since Kris is a giga autismo that pretends to be stoic.
Susie is friendship starved and falls in love with both Noelle and Kris platonically, but Noelle can't tell the difference. Susie has no sexual attraction towards Noelle.
Kris is a MESS, he's a chuuni-tsundere piece of shit with a borrowed soul, he loves Noelle but the autismo refuses to be open about it, the fucker learned how to play the fucking piano to impress the doe, he giga rages when (You) metacuck him by gaslighting the doe for nefarious reasons yet he kinda enjoys it since it simulates a power couple situation in which Noelle is eating out of his end.
