Pretty much. If you count books. Most of my music knowledge/ability is from reading music books.

No I wanted to, but my little sister wanted to piano too and the whole covid thing made me procrastinate. She ended up taking the piano from me.

Yeah piano is really intuitive with that. The fretboard is really ineffective for showing music theory. It's pretty much the norm that composers use piano. Maybe guitar is more common in song writers as main instrument, but it's easy to orchestrate and make music with more parts with a piano. Since you can play multiple lines.
