What's the average NBA or big college basketball arena size? Like 18K that you probably have to cut down like 13K for the stage? You have to sell that show out two nights in a row and then run some shitty ROH show somewhere else to do this year's All In. You have to sell it out four nights in a row to do either night of Summerslam. I get it, 20-25K empty seats is funny to some people who just can't help but console war...but if they're actually doing that kind of business what's the problem?
Now if you a draw a TV crowd for one of those shows and you still run it, you deserve to be smoked to hell and back. Like if AEW ran Grand Slam Australia where it was supposed to be originally, that's a KWABOTY type event. Instead, all I can do is mock them for being overambitious and realizing they needed to move it. To me, whatever the fuck that amateur wrestling thing Hogan and Bischoff were trying to do looks way worse in my eyes than not being able to sell out Metlife.
