I personally will not watch any videos with a you-know-what in it and I'm not the only one. I bet any video featuring Shrek performed at least 30-50% below expectations, and likely the entire channel took AoE damage. It's just not viable to have something like that in a public-facing position on a channel that needs mainstream appeal. This isn't a trapped audience like a Microsoft training video.
