Honestly I actually love having longish combos in my games
I think they help make the schizo speed of the game feel managable. When I was playing grubble I would get mentalboomed and owned if someone put a lot of pressure on me.
I think it's just because there isn't any downtime to actually realize what you're getting hit by. So it was like a game where I felt slow as shit and then I would just get stuck in the corner and die without being able to do anything
When I get mixed in tuko I have like 4-8 seconds to think about how I got hit and usually I can block whatever it is the next time they try it. 
Obviously there's a limit to this, but I think the game stays pretty squarely within it, except for Yasuo
