>But in a game like The Witcher, I prefer the protagonist to be voiced, because I don't get to choose virtually anything regarding Geralt.

That's not true, actually. You chose to play Witcher 3, and that means you approve of the character you're playing as. I'm guessing you haven't played BG3, but even if you pick a pre-made character, it isn't voiced. I think that's a good thing.

>how to fix this psychological bug?

I think that bug is called autism. If you can't change their armour, just keep them in what they're wearing. It's like a challenge mode.
If I look at the BG3 poster, they're wearing the armour they start with. You find much better stuff, but you're not forced to use it.

>Should games allow easy difficulty players to "beat" them?

Yes, I think easy mode is fine. If a game is hard, then it's entirely possible that nobody plays it, which is what happens with /v/ and Dota 2.
If people played on easy mode, you can still talk to them about the game. It's why something like Baldur's Gate 3 is good.

The came out, and you didn't play any of them.

I think old people could easily enjoy BG3, considering it's turn based. It has difficulty settings too.

Baldur's Gate 3 is long, so I'll say that.
