Maybe people will tell me this is a stupid idea but for years now I've thought that AP could be improved by combining the old rules with the nu rules. So we used to have AP5 or whatever and its equivalent today is probably AP-1. But what if the AP of, say, bolters, was AP 5 (-2). So that the effect would only kick in at a certain armour value. There'd be much more granularity that way. And you could avoid the thing we have now where 2+ armour, which used to mean something, just gets glanced down to nothing by AP-1 and AP-2 weapons instead of dedicated heavy weapons. You could then make chaff-clearing small arms more effective as well. No?

Oh God, they actually did it, they fixed Shader Compilation Stutters: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/pull/90400
For those that don't know, just about every Godot game suffers from this issue where Shader Compilation is done JIT whenever something like a particle or material appears on screen which causes a jitter.

I was about to say that the problem with Godot is that it's a generalized game engine and often doesn't fix problems that matter to finishing games, but this has been a pretty big problem I'd given up on seeing fixed and they actually did something about it.

Checked
That also aligns with what I read. You don't get the same visual representation as to what you're doing compared to something like mechanical or civil engineering. Learning thermodynamics and how engines work seems boring though. Stuff like cars and HVAC don't interest me. Nothing moves in civil engineering so I didn't bother to include it in my question

That's true. Learning about circuits, control systems, and RF seems more fun to me, and it probably helps to study something that you're more curious about. The answer was already there, but again some second opinions are nice. Thanks for the answers anons
