I'm done with Deltarune
Boss of Chapter 3 filtered me. I got close enough for the boss to tell me I got close... that wasn't encouraging, after dying in 2 turns the attempt afterwards.
I've spent multiple days just replaying the boss a bunch of times and getting nowhere.
sure I could just move on to chapter 4 and just not get whatever I get for beating this, but I wont. I'm just done.
Chapter 3 was fun until now, but this boss just sucked the fun I was having with the game out of it.
Maybe I'll try again when chapter 5 comes out. Honestly I had given up on spamton neo until 3 and 4 came out and ended up passing that fight easily this time around, but I kinda feel different about this one.
Besides, on this way to this boss Susie said if I'm not having fun, stop playing Maybe I should learn something from that.
I'm just done at this point. After losing this many times I legit just don't want to play any more. After my last loss I got pissed off enough to uninstall the game. It's more symbolic than anything, but I just. Don't have the will to continue.

The Roaring Knight fight is the first time that nine has been used as the absolute in Deltarune, in this case, 999 is the maximum amount of damage that the Knight can deal to you.

Chapter 3 is the worst chapter and is HARD carried by the Roaring Knight fight

I beat this fight because of two things:
1) A revive dust + executive buffet combo during the middle of Susie's monologue. Having three party members to gather tp and eat up damage is very useful in the last third of the fight
2) Tenna's gachapons. After a dozen failed attempts, I realized my loadout is shit so I've backtracked to the b-rank room and played it until I won all the prizes. Got an extra revivemint and the aforementioned executive buffet out of it. Even temporarily disabled, my CRT king managed to help me in the final fight.

Sword hallway is shmup instinct. If you have it, it's relatively easy, if you don't, then it's hell. It tests if you can intuit your own position without looking at it as you dodge swords in advance. One thing that helped me turn the tide in my favor and win was writing down the sequence of each attack, so I knew exactly when to use revivemints and how to prepare myself mentally before hitting attack. For the final attack I suggest rewatching a no hit video over and over until you memorize the heart's position. Also giving Susie the ShadowMantle and your best armor helps, I hope you stacked up lots of revivemints too.

When you get Noelle start backtracking and making sure she freezes everything. Backtrack as far as you can and then proceed forward still freezing everything. Eventually in the room with the ferris wheel go to the far right to get the freeze ring from the NPC, make sure you say you're something else with Noelle. Here's the strat to beat him

How I think it should end? Whatever it was that Toby saw that made him set out on this whole game development journey. He's long superseded any doubts I had about him, and I fully trust him to make something incredible.
But, like Susie? I don't actually want it to end. I love these characters and this world. I love the mysteries and the jokes and the little touches that make it feel so alive.

I know, rationally, that letting this game drag on forever wouldn't work. Every aspect of it was designed towards coming to an ending. So a thing to consider is Chapter 3's egg does technically give you the hint guide on how to get those eggs now, even if that entails figuring out how to get the chapter 3 (though while you can get locked out of it you could definitely figure that one out as it's not really a random chance like before but figuring out an elaborate bullshit puzzle).
Beyond that though, all it takes is a random chance for people to find the chapter 1 and 2 eggs, once you figure out 1's egg chapter 2 is a dead giveaway on what to do there and plus examining it does give you a hint in 2's case. Also unlike 3 and 4 you can backtrack to get those eggs whenever you want. I think the only fair case of true criticism is chapter 1's egg due to how there's no hint until chapter 3.
In terms of difficult I'd say it's 2 > 1 > 4 > 3 (easiest to hardest).
