I have nothing else to play right now, I'm bored as hell. I don't even usually pre-order games or get them at release but I'm making an exception. Even if the game is filled with cringe, there's enough moments of kino to keep me going just like there were in DS1.

I only played the first game this year after it sat in my library for many years. I had tried playing it multiple times over the years and gave up because of how cutscene heavy the start was and all the endless exposition dumps, but once I actually started playing it I had a lot more fun building structures and doing all the deliveries. Even if the story is pretty cringe I still enjoyed it enough.

Policenauts was pure unfettered kino. It was more than just Lethal Weapon. It was Die Hard, Dirty Harry and A Space Odyssey too.

It combined all the cool optimistic futurist ideas from the 80s and created a high tech world out of that fusion with a classic oldKojima government conspiracy story to mesh it all together.
