Can someone explain the new trend of hiring only (westernized) asian voice actors to do works in asian games? 80% of the time they don't even pick the right ethnicity for the roles, it's always a Kim, a Lee or a Wong voicing Japanese characters.
If ethnicities don't matter, why does race matter?

Sapkowski made it clear in the books that Ciri is not the prophesied chosen one, her child that will come in the future is. This highlighted her struggle that everyone wants her, but nobody wants HER except for Geralt & co.
Now that the game makes her an OC donut steel (has power over time & space, being the only WOMYN to survive the witcher mutation, and being the number one sentient being in the setting) throws all of Ciri's believable woes out the window.
