Who gives out the shadow crystals and what do they do? Some people say it's the Knight, but why? Spamton also didn't get one, it was inside the NEO body. Some people say Spamton met the Knight because he almost spills something about them, but I've heard other people say the Knight never actually did anything in the Cyber World, and that kinda' checks out given the short time frame they would've had. The Addisons say Spamton became a big shot somehow but then everything fell apart when he stopped receiving phone calls from someone, and when they checked the phone it was just the Gaster noise, but Spamton's still receiving phone calls that he's ignoring, we see the phone ringing in his shop. It might make sense for someone like Gaster to have given him "forbidden knowledge" about being in a video game which is how he was able to become a big shot, but why did everything fall apart? He obviously knows something along these lines since he's obsessed with freedom and no longer being a puppet on strings. Jevil has a similar story: he was driven mad by the revelation that this is all a game. Does it make sense that the Knight would be someone who has this information? Spamton didn't used to have glasses, but now he has them and it makes him look like Friend. There's a theory that Friend is Seam somehow. It's implied that Friend helps you get the Shadow Mantle, which used to belong to Seam, and Seam is holding onto the shadow crystals for you and seems to have foreknowledge of who they're being given to.

How does all of this come together in a way that makes sense?

If Susie found out, she would lose her shit. That's the kind of reveal that would completely change the pace of the story and put her at odds with both Kris and Ralsei. As to who could reveal it, the obvious choice is Ralsei. He saw it, and has proven himself to be bad at keeping these kinds of things secret for long. All it would take is a slip of the tongue, a lapse in judgement, or just the simple erosion of his will.

I'm interested in this first and foremost because of the drama it would cause.

I think Kris making the slash reads well enough with the disconnect between the parts of himself he shows to Susie and the reality of his actions; if we weren't shown who set up chapter 3's dark world I think people may have made similar arguments about whether the Knight broke in or was let in. He slashed his mom's tires, ERAM implies he has a darker side that enjoyed parts of weird route... under the wrong circumstances, I could see him attacking his teammates.

I think these musicians come from a different background and it makes them have real trouble identifying what makes the song good. They're usually traditional musicians who play a guitar or other physical instrument, not a synth. So they don't think in the same terms a synth composer like Toby thinks. Even DJs compose an entirely different genre, usually EDM, with modern synths and no constraints or rules. Meanwhile half the time Toby is pretending he only has an NES or Genesis sound chip to work with.

If you had a chiptune composer or someone who played something like a theramin, they could probably do a decent cover of Black Knife.

Its a side story following a bunch of original characters in another town. It might not even be in the same universe depending on how things play out in Deltarune. Its not focused on the crazy lore and anime plot stuff so much as its focused on the characters and telling a story about them while they go on adventures in dark worlds.

Funny you say that because the Organnik has in-battle lines saying "The tale which must be followed" and "The tail which must not be followed" which means Toby accounted for your exact argument. Also keep in mind wordplay needs to work in Japanese too. In most cases relevant to the Prophecy, the Japanese dialogue uses 尾 which can mean either a tail, the foot of a mountain, or the end of something (such as a story), however for the Organnik with the jumbling up speech it uses "しっぽ" in hiragana instead which refers specifically to a tail.
