Going by the scene with Susie after you EQUIP Noelle, Kris also seems afraid to get anyone else involved. They tell Susie not to ask about what happened anymore. We've already shown that we're willing to try to kill Kris's friends.

What do (YOU) want to see in chapter 5?

Deltarune seems way less focused than Undertale. The themes are there, but instead of drilling down on them with appropriate pacing, we just kinda get around to exploring them in a rather round-about way. What I'm saying is, that it feels somewhat scatter-brained, taking detours from the game's main points, making it so that it's not entirely obvious even what the game is getting at. To be fair, in Undertale everything becomes clear by the end of the game, which ties everything together, so maybe that will also be the case with Deltarure. I'm really curious how the climax of the whole story will be handled. Will it be in the last chapter? How much will the themes be developed before the last chapter? Guess we'll see.
