a friend of mine who's a musician who went to music school said that Toby Fox is the logical conclusion of an extremely talented and practiced musician that didn't get poisoned by a music school and musical theory or general academic shit for way too long and ended up getting REALLY good at making interesting stuff before actually studying.
Like, of course he knows musical theory and shit *now*, but his mind is so free from it that he ends up being one of the only guys in the medium doing something cool
