Lol no. As far as Gacha games goes this game ranks near the bottom with blue archive. A dedicated f2p player will never beat a p2w and that's just a fact in this game, with other gatcha games a dedicated f2p will stand on equal ground with a p2w player.
Masterduel should be the standard for generous gatcha games. A new player allows him to make a deck that's equal in strength to a paypig, dailies allow you to open 10 packs, and a forgiving pity system.

I disagree. The funny irony is that most can actually compete with the P2W Whales because Whales complain that they can not win by paying to easily win. You have two sides one is the F2P that has tons of time and patience, the P2W Whales that throw money down. Both of those people will beat the average person.

I will say though in the future there is some great passes that will be worth spending on once in awhile for Sparks on existing characters and also the Auto Grind will be immense for those wishing to complete dailies and farm sparks. They are not expensive at all and do not need to be renewed constantly.

My understanding is that it reduces the time last to slow starts. You can still RNG into late start, but the start will be on the higher end of the value still (quicker) than if you didn't have the skill
I've not found anything that says they negate late start from occurring
