Air Groove seems like her gimmick is debuffing the other horses in a game where wit skills MAY go off when they feel like it and Mayano has like 25 turns at the start to get Stamina/speed somewhere decent and you need to spend like 10 turns racing (which she loses energy after btw).
Is there a use for these horses or a niche thats actually useful because I don't like them.

You dont need a wit card to get 350-400 wit. You just do wit training when it makes sense. It’s a good alternative to resting and will top off your stamina plus give you helpful stat boosts. I didnt shit on it. I just stated that as a character, Oguri is not really struggling, there’s no real conflict, so no real growth. Stories need conflict, they need obstacles to overcome. The rivals aspect is important. Her first rival gets completely memoryholed. Tamamo is cool, but it feels like the coolest thing about her are the visual effects and lightning when she runs lol. So nice eye candy, but not really much of a compelling character. Even the boring Special Week had more character growth than anyone in Cinderella Gray. I think CinGrey is better than season 1 but as a story its kind of dull. You can tell it’s more of a slow burn and they’re building up to something, so it’s hard to recommend as if it’s a complete anime. Season 2 feels like a complete show. It has many different conflicts and they all get resolved in a pretty masterful way. You also have cool shit like Rice Shower’s mini arc which was very well done. It doesn't work like that in CM, whenever there's no front runner the positions get fucked anyway. I'm not sure if it's any loss anyway since the ult is meant to help you catch up from the back but with the screwed positions my Goldshi was often like 4th since the start.

There’s a few optimizations that newer players can get tripped up on and I know one that is a common newb trap: going for raw stats during an event rather than picking the option that gives you more energy.

Take “extra training” for instance. You may be tempted to say yes, and take that extra 5 speed at the cost of 5 energy, but that’s not a good deal. 5 Energy is far more valuable because when you do rainbow training, you get waaaaay more stats, and you need your energy topped off to ensure you can. So energy is everything. During new years celebration, you have the choice between energy, raw stats, or skill points. A newb might go for the stats and think thats the best option. Its actually the worst option. Refilling energy is priority one. If that’s already full, then you take the skill points, because buying skills is important. All of your raw stats are gonna from sparks, inspirations, and mostly rainbow training. Remembering which events give you energy or special conditions like practice perfect/charming WILL make the difference.

The other thing is mood bonus. At good mood, you get 10% mood bonus, great at 20%. You want to keep your mood at great after the first year or so. You should have cards like kitasan and others that will automatically raise your mood early on with events. Rainbow training at normal/bad mood means you’re missing out a lot, especially since cards have “mood bonus”, some more than others, so keeping a great mood is very important for maxing stats.

And on the topic of first year, your priority is not stat maxing but rather getting all of your support cards to the orange level which triggers rainbows training. It doesnt matter if they’re in guts or whatever, if 3 or 4 of them are lined up in one category, you get a bonus. If they are offering a hint with the red exclamation point, that allows you to raise their affinity even faster along side more stat boosts and skill hints. Prioritize raising kita/creek.

Even if you were up against 4 debuffers that ALL had subdued, flustered, and stamina eater, MOST golshis can tank that. This is why I dont think they’re going to be that effective in this race. A lot of the best debuffs are medium only, including natures murmurs, and the strong speed debuff dominator. A debuffer is fine if you dont have time for more aces and people barely have enough time for one ace so its better than nothing. You’re only going to catch golshis with like sub 1000 stamina and only one gold heal and shitty wit. But they were probably going to gas anyway. Better than nothing but still feels kinda useless

That’s how busted this ability is on this stage. So guys I know you’re probably putting a lot of work into your pace chaser and thats great, but golshi is going to keep stealing your wins, dont be surprised when it happens. Golshi is everywhere, she’s easy to make and that ONE ability changes everything for this map. Pace chasers got nothing like that. All they can hope to do is max out their speed, long S, and grab long corners/pace chaser corners/straightaways etc. But a golshi with those same stats and abilities + straight away spurt wins UNLESS they get blocked in. So Pace is a good choice for an alternative ace, but just run an end closer alongside them, because even the perfcect pace, and I mean PERFECT is going to be fighting life and death with middle of the road golshis.

Yes, it gives you 40 stamina at the start of the race, 60 for the upgraded version. This is a kyoto course, so of course it works. Green abilities like that are really good for CM because you know which ones will be in effect. So for this race: spring runner and right handed (booth speed boosts, priortize those), firm conditons (power boost), outer post (speed boost, but random based on the post positioned assigned to you), sunny weather (guts boost), standard distance (stamina boost), and kyoto (stamina). Those are good, grab the ones you need but the speed boosts are the best naturally.

You dont *need* it, but it would certainly be good to have and a good investment in general since its going to stay strong in every CM since its not tied to any distance and can be used in any race, unlike murmur which is medium only.

Dont burn yourself out on CMs, enter Open class if you need to, but B should be consistent wins even with a shit deck so long as your strategy/abilities are right.

Dont burn yourself out grinding out aces unless it’s fun to you. Save up carats for the kitasan reroll on a few months and cruise with what you have. You dont need summer maru, and you can keep saving for the character banner as well in january. Stop wasting carats and just stack these next few months. Make due with what you have. Even with R cards, you can win class B in a CM. So just get creative and stop trying to sweat your balls off. Do your best but dont over do it. Weve got a decent chunk of time till the next CM, so just take it easy and dont let the accelerated schedule burn you out.

It will come from hints, so youll need some rng. borrow a parent that has 9* stamina sparks, use whatever other high stamina parent you have. Get your stamina as high as it will go, grab cooldown and swinging maestro and straightaway spurt. Your cards are fine, your problem is you dont how to use them.

I rerolled for kitasan and went for broke on Super Creek ending on +2. All things considered I have a decent setup with a +3 Tosho/Mayano, but I outright don't have a 3rd stam SR, and my speed SRs in Eishin, Narita, and Halo are all +0 or +1.

I had a Long S golshi with more speed vs a shitty golshi that had straightaway spurt, and the shitty was winning. You have encroaching shadow, which is even stronger than spurt. Sure, more speed and Long S is ideal, but just having that ability alone gives you a HUGE advantage, this is why taishin is so strong for this race.

Professor of curvature is very expensive and not the strongest on the map, although still good. You MUST prioritize those gold heals and straightaway spurt.

You probably wont have enough skill points for curvature as well unless youre doing a ton of g1s during your career (which you should do when your training options arent great). If you see long corners/end closer corners or long straightaways/end closer straightaways, grab those before curvature, as they are cheaper and stronger for this map. Grab any green skills named firm conditions or standard distance, a power and stamina boost respectively. Spring runner and rigjt handed are other good green skills but they’re harder to come by. If you see them, grab them. But make sure you get those gold heals first.

That might be the issue that shes not able to even get to her max speed in time. 600 is a bit on the low side for an end closer who loves power, but with how much stamina is needed its hard. Idk, I tried Kiryuin but I just switched back to groove because I was having trouble “babysitting” kiryun up to max affinity. You’re often chasing hints for other debuffs and it can be difficult to get her affinity up to max sometimes, so I just went back to groove and waited for the right hints.
Remember with hint pruning, if you buy a hint, you cant receive a hint for it again. So if you get one debuff and you want another, go ahead and buy it so you dont receive the same hint twice.
Anyways you can try kryuin. Once you get her to 3/5 affinity you can do recreations with her that heal energy, raise mood, and give you skill points all in one turn, which will also raise your affinity with her. You can do five of those, and its better than a rest so it can have utility.
