The more I play unity the more I hate it. Every run has wasted bombs that never land on a stat I want. Just last run I got King Halo to a fully charged state in early classic year, and she never gave me a speed bomb.
Managing the auto-select is also awful because it's annoying and the AI always fucks up the same things, so if you get certain characters as your better racers you're stuck having to make the same adjustments every time.
Team members that aren't improving from training are just visual clutter that add nothing.
RIko adds a lot of stam but she doesn't give a lot of energy and she doesn't even cure debuffs, what a shitty pal. But if you don't use her you have to use stam parents again, and getting the second ult upgrade is friendship-rng again.

Yeppers! Three plat wins ever since going 2nd in B Taurus. Honestly feels undeserved, but I can usually win some of these test rooms. Must randoms just aren't as good as the people here or whales in the wild. I've been lucky to win, but I also play more than 90% of my club and your club, so it increases my chances at getting lucky. I'd like to think I strategize pretty well, but I actually don't train that hard or make perfect aces. Just go for ones that can get the job done.

As for how the cup itself went, it was comparable to Cancer for me in the sense that round 2 I had about a 50% win ratio, so I knew finals could go either way. Each of my aces had a fraction of the win, I like to build balanced teams like that rather than going all in on one ace.

It was fun, but I'm tired and Virgo is gonna be a shitfest. I really like Unity though and am already making some strong ones.

I try to pop my orbs in speed when I can too since it's the most important stat. If I get to 1050-1100 early I can relax and fix my other stats

Trust the process. I also used this guide as a benchmark. I could 't get Wit that high since I subconsciously was pressing it less than him, however I more or less raised the other stats at the same rate as him, and modified my playstyle a bit to emulate it. I picked Vodka because she has a similar statgain to Oguri. I guess Grass, Curren and Falcon would end up with similar stats too if you tried it

You need to focus on building up your teammates to get the blue ball things. So chase after blue arrows, particularly when there's more than one in one category. Do not blow up the blue balls in Wit, that would be a waste. Blow up the blue balls in power and speed, because you want to max those two things out. If it's not in power and speed, juggle them and do wit training to level up more teammates to get more blue balls.

I think a good deck should have at least 1-2 wit cards and probably 2-3 speed cards. I'd go with 3 if you're not dealing with really strong speed cards. this allows you to keep your energy going and allows you to build up teammates when blue arrows appear on wit. Then you can run a trainer card like Riko or Tazuna. Or you can run a power card or whatever. Just try different things out. But the key thing is to build lots of balls, and blow them up on speed and power basically.

I really like Riko as a support card. She gives you tons of stamina and keeps your mood right, with her dates acting as a rest of sorts.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, not as gospel. I'm still trying to figure this out but I've gotten close to max speed and power with my blue balls blowing up in the right spots. Also think about your blue spark distribution. But investing in power and stamina never seems to be a bad idea, maybe a mixture of both.

And also, the reason you have a few speed cards is because while rainbow training isn't AS crucial in Unity, it's still good to have.

Say there's no good options to build up your teammates? Well then there's probably a good chance a speed rainbow is sitting there giving you decent stats allowing you to get your speed (and power) up when there's no blue ball explosions. To get to those max stats, it will be a mixture of rainbow speed training, blue ball explosions on speed and power generally, and wit rainbows to restore energy. Then occassionally you'll use Riko or whatever to restore your energy, but you shouldn't have to be resting too much. It's all about energy management. And because energy is precious, and each turn is precious, you're not going to be doing really any optional races unless you need to get your fan count up to get your unique leveled up.


As for the team races, if you're chasing your blue arrows and blowing up dem balls, your team should wind up pretty strong.

It's okay to pick the second option isntead of the strongest option if it doesnt look like you'll win. Better to do that than lose. You can do that a couple times, but try to aim for the number one team each time.

Winning the final match seems kind of random, but dont trust the auto select. Pay attention to aptitudes and put the ones with the highest stats as your ace. You'll probably need to fiddle with it a little bit, at least in the final races.

Wit actually helps with other things than skill activation, energy restoration is good. I agree you probably don't need to go beyond 2 wit cards, but when all you really need to max out are speed and power, you can actually do that by just blowing up blue balls. You don't need to go beyond 3 speed cards to max out speed either. So you have some wiggle room to add other stuff in. People should just try different things out, but wit maxing is actually way better for this mode than it was in Ura because training wit actually helps your team, and helping your team lets you get better stats faster on top of restoring energy. It's big.

If there are blue arrows WITH the blue ball, it will give it a slight stat boost, but the blue ball explosion itself is a STATIC stat boost, meaning you dont need a bunch to blow up at once. And don't blow it up in wit, it gives the worst returns there.

The later teammates ARE stronger so you don't have to train them as up much, some might just be good out of the box.

You can genuinely do this with blue ball explosions and 3 speed cards, that's why you can bring 2 wit and a riko on the side. You underestimate how many blue balls you will get in your journey if you level them all up effectively and just how quickly you can max out your speed with 3 speed cards. I maxed mine out early senior year and I had more speed than I knew what to do with because I blew up too many balls in speed. Try and blow up MOST of your balls in power, and then do rainbow training and some explosions in speed. The wit is just there to heal. You could throw a power card in but you can actually max speed and power with just balls and a few good speed cards. Don't forget double wit rainbows also raises your speed by a substantial amount, especially if you're training teammates alongside them getting even more stat boosts. It's piss easy to max out speed with that combo

I'm repeating myself, but wit training is better here because when blue arrows are lined up on wit, you're not only leveling up your wit AND your speed. Wit training raises speed let's remember that, and when it's a wit rainbow WITH blue arrows, you're sometimes getting upwards of 20+ speed from double rainbow training, and like 40+ wit, and a lot of energy restored. You're also raising up your teammates when they land on wit training. Raising your team is extremely important.

Strong wit cards like MLB Fine Motion or MLB Nice Nature restore even more energy than MLB SR cards, but two MLB SR cards will still restore your energy by quite a bit.

Another underrated thing about energy cards like Marvelous, Daiwa, Fuku, Nature SSR, Fine Motion etc is that a lot of them give you free energy boosts during their events, mood ups, Motion gives you free practice perfect and a ton of useful abilities, one that is exclusive to her (fall runner), and we're about to have a lot of Fall CMs where that extra speed boost will be much wanted...

Wit training works because it levels up your team. If it didn't do that, it wouldn't be as useful. But since leveling up your team is how you get better stats and more blue balls, AND it restores energy and raises speed...yeah it's really not a bad deal, and often times a much better deal than simply resting. Two wit rainbows can restore you know, upwards of 30+ energy, maybe more sometimes? It's a good deal, but I'm repeating myself here.

It's not something you need to do all the time. You shouldnt just park in wit, but it's there to heal when you need to. And if it doesn't make sense, THEN you riko. And if that doesnt make sense, then you rest. Reducing your rest turns to just a few times in the run, maybe none if you're really good at it.

If your speed cards are weaker, I'd definitely advise using more than 2, but probably not more than 3. 3 should be more than enough.

You could also go like ONE really strong wit card, like borrow a fine motion, then run a riko or a power card or whatever else you think you need. But for this race we're not gonna need stamina cards. I would say if you're having trouble building up power, prioritize majority of your spirit bombs into the power section. You'll level up your speed with speed rainbows and the occassion blue ball in speed + wit training. Then riko should get your stamina to about 600+ and your guts to a reasonable level to where you're not gonna gas in a 1600m race.

Also might need to fiddle with your chunk distribution if one area seems lacking compared to other. The JPbro was saying a balanced spread might not be a bad idea.

But take it with a grain of salt. I'm just telling you guys what works for me, but I've gotten max speed, and 1000+ power, with pretty bad rng, and plenty of sttamina and guts not to gas. What you dont understand is that your deck really isnt that important because the rainbow trainings dont matter that much, but here's what I'd use

Borrow MLB Kitasan
Use your Narita Brian
Run your 2LB Halo or flash
Then with your wit cards there you have a decent amount of options. Definitely use your 3LB fuku, and maybe your 3LB dober or Nice Nature, or you could use Daiwa/Tachyon too even though they're a little lower leveled. Then maybe run taht Aoi Trainer card, sicne you dont have a ton there but she could help you out a bit. Or you could run a power card, you could run MLB Urara who is a great stat stick and guts is getting better. So just experiment a little bit, but I'd try some of those out.

We don't really need maestro for a mile race, but your creek will come in handy for medium/long races. Just save up for that Kitasan, maybe use that selector on her. I didn't see it in your deck.

Just know that most of your stat boosts aren't gonna come from rainbow trainin from your cards. They'll come your team trainee, the blue arrow raising and the spirit bomb explosions. Explode them in speed and power and you'll be surprised how much they can grow. Then heal with wit when you need to, and if that doesnt make sense, then you rest.

Hopefully you get that Riko R card from your free rolls because that'll help you a little bit too. You should get it, we got 60 more rolls and it has higher priority. I had one where I got like 3 in one 10 roll.

I might lean power in this case, but both are fine choices if you dont wanna waste energy and go with wit to wait for better training. Ideally we just wanna see more blue arrows. One at a time is bad rng, but at least you can level up your team to rainbow level.
