It's not a kanchan, but sometimes ryanmen are worse than kanchan if the bakyou is that bad. It does include 1s, so it's still not -that- bad, I'll give you that. But even so, I don't see a lot of value in winning the hand without dora (trying to disrupt other people's disruption hands), and I kind of accidentally hit tenpai while dropping my 466m block.
Anyway, I'm mostly here to explain my thought process and collect opinions, not to say I'm right. I'm glad people said what they think, it's important to have feedback.

My point is that it's probably fine but it's not the end all be all for mahjong play, and not taking tenpai in favor of 3 han instead of 1 can make sense in the context of this tournament, where you're playing to take first above all else. Remember that most bots are trained on Tenhou 7 dan rates, which means that the bots will value 4th avoidance over all else.

What to watch~

and, tsumo/ippatsu/ura is just a chance for the riichi, the majority of the time it's only 2k or 2.7k points, and even if you do get ura or ippatsu, it's still not a killer-level game-winning hand.
I'd cut dora for a kanchan tenpai into that bakyou without even thinking about it. even if the kanchan was cut twice. 3x though I wouldn't lol.

Botcoping is bad in general. Mortal score, MAKA grade, etc. don't actually help you measure growth as a player. It varies wildly from bot to bot and from hanchan to hanchan, the only real thing that it measures is how straightforward the hands were to play.
They're fine to check out potential wwyd scenarios that happened during a game, which is what the Mortal author originally intended it to do, that's why score was off by default for the original UI and it came with a warning.
