To me, the Knight (and his co-conspirators, which might include Gaster) are trying to derail the Prophecy using Shadow Crystals.

Asgore will go schizo, and not by choice. Mark my words.

This is my Deltarune plot prediction lock of the century:
The Prophecy ends with one or more heroes having to be erased, with the world changing into one where they never existed: I.e. gonered.
Kris's promise is to become this erased hero, thus creating a world where they were never born, and so their greatest sin, what happened to Dess, will also be erased, saving her life at the cost of their own.
In the end, Susie will be too late to save Kris, and they end up erased, creating this new timeline. However, (You), as a higher being, still persist and still remember everything that happened.
Because (You) haven't forgotten, and because (You) still have Kris's love and compassion within you (your love will become theirs, their love will become yours), you are able to make the Hometowners remember Kris and the love they have for each other.
The finale of Deltarune is getting the Fun Gang back together to rescue Kris and create a real new future worth living in.

The black silhouette figures in the broken diner mini game when Tenna says "They're crawling from the pipes!" are ICE-E heads. In chapter 4 an ICE-E costume is in Noelle's basement. On the website ARG and maybe also alluded to in ch2, Kris scared Noelle by telling her ICE-E was alive and gonna eat her so December lit an ICE-E head on fire in front of Noelle and then buried it, or something like that.

The fact ICE-E changed its form very drastically in chapter 3 (only its lines give away the fact it’s the fiery eye Ice-E pizzabox) is probably a sign that we should expect Eram to show up again in a new form in a future chapter (like chapter 4 is implying with the mascot change). Its main themes are the Ice-E brands/products and pizza. Similar to Friend’s limits to Cats, Microphones, and its cat game/brand.

The fact ICE-Eram and Friend show up together implies they are similar kinds of darkners/entities.

I think realistically, Kris' nonbinary identity stems from their disconnect to human culture. They were raised in a society of completely different bodies and gender roles. They have species dysphoria, and adopting the nonbinary label is an attempt to escape their physical body and not feel as human. He has some character flaws like anybody, but honestly looking at how so many kickstarter games go and the tendency of lone creators to over promise, the fact Undertale is so good still makes it one of the most successful projects. Like, IDK I forgive him, because he literally made Undertale. It was sucky to delete that tweet, but IIRC the Yiik creator was also lashing out at people and becoming toxic to associate with at the time. And the game legitimately had *serious* performance issues on launch. From that perspective, Toby also had to consider a duty to his fans whether to actively promote a project he came to learn had serious flaws on release.

Yeah Tenna lives rent-free in Spamton's head. Spamton really wanted to [Kill your TV] far beyond a reasonable degree. I legitimately think he's more obsessed than Tenna, but does a better job of hiding it behind hatred.
He also fully believes Tenna's death is an inevitability and probably thinks cheering for his death would put his mind at ease. Like, it would be more upsetting if he still had positive feelings for his ex and wanted to reconcile knowing it won't matter anyways(not that he didn't try when he found out Tenna kept the pipis)

I don't know it took me so long to figure this out. At the end of chapter 4, the voice on the phone call says" Remember, you promised." Why would they say this? It would only make sense if, whoever this is, had reason to believe that Kris NEEDS to be reminded, as if they know Kris is faltering in their mission. This has convinced me enough to believe the Knight is the caller, because they would have seen what Kris saw when Susie was in turmoil over the tragedy of the prophesy. The Knight needed to remind Kris that Susie is a sacrifice for something greater (which could be a number of things). If you want to go a step further and say there were two people on a group call in the Holiday house earlier in the chapter, then It's Carol, the Knight and Kris who are the primary conspirators.
