Avoiding long rests isn't about camp supplies, it's about maintaining elixirs and buffs like bliss spores as long as possible. Long rests' cost is the fact that a lot of buffs reset.
I have 3K camp supplies in honor mode right now, both because I'm looting a lot, and also because I try to avoid resting more than 3 times an act if I can, though this does depend mostly on whether I do have a buff like that and the resources my party has. The only character I have who actually requires long rests is shart, but I'm able to get away with her mainly just using utility spells, because I always have her summon a djinn.

It's not that hard on Paladin to have 36AC and immunity to Crit and also having such high saving throws that you only ever take partial damage making you practically unkillable. You can even taunt everyone to attack you now as well. It is a super cheesy, boring, and slow way to play though. Most of the time you'll be running in solo and spending 10-20 minutes getting all the enemies grouped up to taunt them before coming in with the rest of your party.

If Tav and Astarion could secure another 7,000 souls for Tav's ascension, they would become the progenitors of an entirely new race of ascended vampires, akin to Adam and Eve.

To justify the investment into defense, there must be some huge incoming damage, else the investment is kinda pointless.

Based on what I saw while escaping, my best bet is entering through the prison and just killing as much as I can on my way up. I also noticed the steel watcher AI is shit, they were just dashing, jumping, and using the hook on enemy NPCs at random.
I screwed up by not realizing karlach would trigger a cutscene, plan was to take him outside and throw him over the edge.
I've never fought him, any advice?

Well, it’s not really 1:1, the utility you get out of the summon’s kit is sometimes better than just basting yourself.
The elementals/myrmidon and the djinn only have an action and a bonus action, but when the bonus action is an infinite misty step, you get a lot. Shovel is weak as shit on paper, but her ability to start almost every encounter with a surprise round makes her incredibly valuable
There’s also the fact that more “things” in your party affects the AI pretty noticeably, tanky stuff like the djinn and water elemental can soak up a lot of damage that might otherwise have been sent your way

I gave every enemy an extra action and it's wack. I'm trying to make the game more difficult so I have various camp supplies and enemy hp scalings,plus tactician enhanced giving them all 2 actions and it's a bit much.

If I'm being honest though, I'd prefer to find a way to make the game harder that is not just inflating enemy hp bars and actions. One of the coolest things about bg3 and one of the many things that sets is above other crpg's is that tactician actually alters enemy spell lists and equipment, and honor mode gives bosses new things to do, so difficulty levels are not just stat inflations like in owlcat and obsidian games. There are mods that say they make enemies "smarter" but I haven't noticed much in my testing so far.

If the party is minmaxed then I can do a lot more with those extra actions than a bunch of minions could ever hope to achieve. Shovel (along with any other minion that can go invisible) is the only real hang-up. Not spending your action to start combat is very useful. But that's one minion, and you care less about surprise rounds the higher you get.
Sorry this came out of nowhere, I was on the crapper and it just hit me out of nowhere that we have someone ITT who throws an autism fit if you have a party of summons but has never once complained about breaking the action economy using your own party.

Am I 8 int for feeling like, outside of dedicated cheese setups. most utillity spells are a waste of a turn in comparison to just doing damage numbers, especially when the end state of almost all combat is 2 characters standing next to each other and swinging?

That someone doesn't exist. A full summoner party is a viable (albeit very tedious) playstyle. I'm also not here to police how you play the game. My issue has always been with worthless cheaters like the swine that use the Party Limit Begone cheat to stack 10 companions and act like it's the coolest thing ever to cheat in an easy game. It goes without saying that even with the base itemization in BG3, an optimized party member is capable of much more destruction than any summon.

A lot of cc spells generally just make up for bad positioning, especially given how limited they are by this being a video game. Very little point in stopping an enemy from moving when your spellcasters are far away and your warriors are on top of them. Idk man, I use the djinn and water elemental prolifically and I love them both. They have a free misty step as I mentioned, but then the djinn is able to use thunder wave and those tornadoes, both of which gum up enemies. The water elemental’s ice breath can prone groups of clustered enemies, or break a concentration.

I don’t use haste as a spell, because of it being a concentration, and I don’t like the lethargic side effect, but that’s just me. I tend to spend the first few rounds of a fight trying to “inconvenience” the enemy, once I have them almost completely neutralized, then I start DPSing. I’ve just gotten good results from this and it’s what I’m comfortable with

A lot of Sharrans are secret agents and spies and such, and they use those skills to blackmail and homewreck through seduction and generally be rascals making things worse for everyone.

If you were to form an attachment to another Sharran, that would probably be exploited and ended, as a lesson on loss. Casual encounters and meaningless sex would be what you could do as a Sharran. For example, the gnome that says he kissed Shart, they probably did not date long term, as that would be an attachment, which goes against Sharran teachings. It was just practice for their seduction skills, or just a casual fling.

I've been considering fucking around with custom difficulty, but looking at the options, the only thing I really would end up playing is honor mode with reloading, which I would probably only feel comfortable using in case of bugs. Honor mode is actually very well balanced IMO.

Basically honour ruleset+tactician but with normal long rest supplies and multiple save. Currently cranked up enemy scaling up to eleven with combat extender and having great time. Act1 had some real bullshit moments tho.

It's not even that you're "lying" - it's that you are either ignorant or being purposely misleading. It is industry standard to have the voice actors record lines in batches, in greater quantity than is needed. This is obviously to avoid having to call them back every time you realize you forgot to ask Emma Gregory, or the very busy Matthew "How do you want to do this?" Mercer to voice one generic voicebark in one Act 1 area. The trimming happens after the narrative team has decided where these characters will fit. There are probably dozens of hours of unused voice lines which fit your loose definition of "cut content."

My gripe with concentration isn't even the saving throws, it's that you effectively have one hidden 'slot' per character, you can't in any way buff that aspect.
It makes it so that many spells are completely orthogonal to each other.
If I were to have been involved in making this mechanic, I'd have some kind of 'concentration bandwidth' stat, (term is awful but whatever), that can be affected by builds. You'd always be able to hold one concentration, but you'd be able to hold multiple provided their 'cost' in terms of concentration was under that amount.
This would allow multiple concentrations, but it would also provide balancing so that someone isn't able to stack Haste+Cloudkill+Globe of Invulnerability without seriously investing in that ability.

It's just really clear to me that the mechanic was a late edition to the TT, because it's awful.

If it's an ongoing effect like Hold Person or some AoE, i absolutely get it for the sake of balancing strong effects but there it feels like they're taking up an action to cast them is enough of a price.
Bless also feels wasted past the early game because then you are brimming with powerful spells.

Because you could have stronger spells require a higher bandwidth, which would make certain combinations harder to achieve.
Something like hex or hunter's mark would have lower costs, whereas something like dominate person would be more. It would allow for current gameplay but give people something to build their character around.

What you're doing is introducing granularity (i.e., unnecessary complexity) in a system that is designed to be accessible yet flexible. Sure, it might not seem "balanced" that spells like Haste or Witch Bolt both compete for the same Concentration slot, but that's not the point. The point is to keep it simple instead of having to worry about five ninths of a Concentration unit and what to do with the rest.

Once you start going down that route, you'll eventually want to start breaking down how much an Action or a Reaction should allow too. Is throwing a potion really worth losing your Fighter's triple attack? Do we need weapon attack speed because it's unrealistic that it would take the same time to swing a greatsword or thrust a dagger?

Plenty of games have done that same thing, and even the term is coined by an even more egregious example. Things don't have to be measured and perfectly balanced though. Shart's writer just had more free time or whatever reason. The stool interactions were a voluntary free time project by one of the coders who just liked her and wanted to do something extra.

Wyll should have a cutscene about the tiamat cultists, Karl should have a cutscene about running through avernus, Lazy should have a cutscene about killing her cousins, Minthy should have a cutscene about Orin killing her soldiers, etc. But money and development time are not infinite, so it is what it is.
