Kuro made a horrible combat stat foundation. There's no elemental interactions, no status effects, no real stun or anything beyond do bigger numbers.
Their only bandaid for this is adding skill/lib/basic/heavy/echo damage tags to all the attacks to give the illiusion different builds.
The entire combat system is shallow as a puddle so this is the best they could come up with.

I liked Gunslinger style in DMC3, and I think this is clearly Kuro's take on that with a bit of Bayonetta mixed in (particularly with the moves where she shoots the pistols with her feet).
That said, I'm not a fan of the dual pistols though. It's already overdone in this game. She should have used a machine gun or maybe a sniper rifle (since she's an assassin out to kill Elfy Welfy and all that) or a shotgun to distinguish herself from other pistols users. But I'm fine with what I see so far. I think I'll roll her.
Qiuyuan on the other hand I don't like.
Which is a shame because I liked his wandering ronin type design, but I hate how his attack animations involve him doing these retarded drunken sways. There's that one move (I believe it's the third hit of his normal string?) where he turns around and drinks his sake or whatever the fuck is in his gourd after swinging his weapon. And then after the final hit of his normal string, he does that drunken stagger, which looks shit (not in terms of animation quality, but in terms of style and my preferences for what I look for in animation). Obviously, we haven't seen some of his moves, but for me, if I can't enjoy a character's normal strings (you know, since they make up like a big chunk of the character's moves), then I'm not rolling the character.

I'd say a good 7-8 years, but with a caveat to that: It won't be the same budget for that entire duration.
We won't be getting new big maps every major patch when the game reaches its 4th or 5th year.
More important for me is the question of whether they'll make the game playable offline when they do shut it down. When you need to build a new character, just google it to make it easy. For example, everything Augusta does, her skill, her ultimate, her attacks, they all count as heavy attack damage so that's what you want on your echo rolls.

If you're confused now, at least in terms of lore echoes aren't the only pets. Calcharo uses a TD (not an echo), and Baizhi uses a remnant creature (TDs, echoes and shorekeeper are all remnant creatures which is the general term for all beings created from remnant energy). Just started doing Tactical Hologram: Phantom Pain for the first time. Is it just me or are these versions of the bosses far more aggressive than their normal counterparts?
For example, the Sentry Construct that you can farm for materials at Averardo Vault is pretty easy and tame.
But the one at this Phantom Pain Tactical Hologram is whipping out new moves I haven't seen the regular one use, in addition to attacking at a much more frequent rate and doing way more damage, despite being 15 levels lower than my characters.

Augusta is a "shielder" but her shield is the most dog shit I've ever seen its like 1% of her health it might as well not exist and she st ill feels squishy af.

If Iuno is just another one of those where the "shielding" aspect of her kit isn't real and is just there to use her echo set and not actually shield she'll be no better unless you play perfect.

Holograms are the actual hardest boss fights in the game.
The bosses are a lot more aggressive, and every time you go a tier up, the boss unlocks more moves, and gains more dmg and hp. Lvl 5 and lvl 6 fights are kinda sweaty.

I was just surprised, because I was just on my way to completing pic related for both Fallacy and Sentry, and I started with Sentry because I've been grinding him a lot for Carlotta upgrades. Personally, I prefer mastering 1v1 boss fights than Whimpering Wastes/Tower team minmaxing and number crunching.
This game has surprisingly good boss fights altogether, and if the other anon is correct and the bosses get more moves as they level up in this hologram, then that's the kind of endgame I prefer. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Fleurdelys in particular gets more complex. After all, her story version is already pretty spastic and with tons of moves. Is she gonna get even more spastic with more moves when I get her to LV6?

Certain bosses take reduced dmg from specific elements (I think it was glacio for the sentry, but I'm not sure), so make sure the team that you're using is not of that element.
Also, you only need to beat the lvl 3 sentry to clear that challenge in case you didn't know.

No doubt, I'm sure I'm gonna rage internally.
I'm looking through some of the difficulty modifiers these bosses get at higher levels and stuff like pic related seems nutty.
But over the years, as I've gone through playing games, I've learned never to actually think out loud any thoughts involving difficulty, especially when I am in the learning process.
Because everyone (myself included) ends up making scrubby comments when faced with a brand-new hurdle that the passage of time and the accumulation of experience in a game will help overcome.
So many bosses I initially hate in games I end up liking by simply just internalizing their moves (and, more importantly) their rhythms as much as possible, so that I can have educated guesses on what they're about to do next in a way that allows me to better react and prepare for what they're about to do.
