Correct there are speed skills (acceleration) and power skills (velocity), I was using JP terms sorry for the confusion.
Speed boost or overtake skills during last spurt; mid-spurt activation is ideal (e.g. Straightaway Spurt, Rudolf unique, Special Week unique, etc).
Late last spurt activation accel and speed skills (e.g. Oguri's last 200m and El Condor Pasa's uniques, etc) also aren't good simply because these activate too late in a very long last spurt to matter much. Your horse can't push higher from top speed, that's why green skills that modify your speed cap are better than just more accel. There is a reason people don't use Homestretch Haste outside of TT because of high rng.
The difference between Redshift and Encroaching Shadow/Straightaway Spurt is that ES/SS can activate on the straight before the 3rd corner letting you hit top speed much sooner. While Redshift/Shooting Star are way too late, your horse will have already reached top speed by that time.

Against Branded, always remember that if they start with Fusion Deployment into Cartesia, then your Imperm target changes from Aluber to Albion since then the Branded player must fuse kinda early to protect their fusion summon, which also makes them unable to summon Bystial Lubellion and put a continuous Branded spell/trap from deck to field. Your other option is to keep the imperm to negate Mirrorjade on your turn, but a line that includes Cartesia like that can very easily end with BiR set on field and Ad Lib in grave, meaning it's pretty low impact, if it has an impact at all.

Isn't the only rule in yugioh that you only get one normal summon per turn, and monsters with more than 4 stars need a tribute to normal summon? and then everything else depends on what the card says (outside of universal special summoning mechanics that aren't written out on the cards anywhere because fuck you that's why)? Seems way simpler than other card games, and understandable why nowadays it's a three turn game, since to make a system this simple be interesting, you need interesting cards, and interesting cards lead to fucky effect combos, and fucky combos require even fuckier combos, and the arms race begins.

Next week, together with the fine lads over in the /tts/ thread, I am going to host Railways of the Lost Atlas, either on Thursday or Friday, at 16:00 GMT. It's a board game about trains, the economy, and investing into the success of your opponents. We'll play via Tabletop Simulator.

Don't know why I was thinking about sending out forms or shit. Just show up when I host and we'll decide how to organize sessions from there. All I really ask is not to join the session if you are only planning on playing a short amount, it would suck to play for a few days or a week and then someone just completely disappears.

depends on what your goal is. if you want to raise your waifu uma that beats all the other umas, its pretty lenient. with some grinding sparks and runs, you'll eventually get a good enough uma that sweeps everyone else. it's a pure grind rng game there where card quality doesn't have a huge impact.
it's very expensive in the sense if you want to get all of the absolute most meta defining cards/umas, but the poverty versions and random pulls you do get are strong enough that you don't really need meta to be competitive.
it does lock the cards and umas behind gacha however with no way to get them outside of this.
starting now is fine, but you'll have a hard time at first since you missed an important early banner for kitasan black, which is a card that is kind of required and irreplacable for a long time. fortunately, they're rerunning it in some time, so if you prepare from now, you'll be fine for a long time. you can also just wait for it to drop and then reroll your account until you get enough kitasans if you're still interested in a few months.

I'd say Global is still in the comfy "anything works" zone, nothing is limited in the gacha but the rates are horrendous, don't pull unless you can guaranteed a spark. The average f2p currency income should be 10k-20k/month not accounted for Global catchup speed, you'll need 30k for each sparks
You can in fact unlock any horses in the game with the daily shard races in the future, it's the meta cards that can't be obtained for free by any means.

This is just the first session so we aren't gonna be playing at this exact time everyday but in general its an EU hours playthrough, similar to how we did Barotrauma except we kinda need all of us here for the majority of sessions, but like >>1953390 said all characters are created at the start and you want to be there cause it will shape your starting class for a large portion of the early game.

Anyway I'll make a post and then if everyone who's in for the journey joins mumble we can get everyone connected. I've had previous times were initial joining sometimes causes issues between steam and gog users, someone mentioned pirated copies, I dont know if those work or not.

I'll say again for clarity, this will work similar to barotrauma times, not exactly same time each day but whenever everyones available lets try to play. Weekdays mainly EU evenings, weekends we can do longer if everyone's around. We'll talk more about future sessions once we have a starting party

How we got here, who knows? The loredump intro cutscene was skipped.
A human summoner, elven mage with an affinity for water and the undead, a skeleton lizard that shits poison and then rolls in it, and the undead human/elf rogue who is the only melee and now tanks with his daggers.
The party slaughtered all in the tutorial stage, none were spared.
No sooner did they enter Fort Joy than left it, due to some early teleportation shenanigans. All traders are pissed, magisters are pissed, we have no friends apart from our own fellowship.
Will we make it to the end of Act 1 intact, nevermind the end of the game? Noone can say for sure...
Next time, Fort Joy cleanup.
Surprsingly good progress so far, and not a single party wipe yet. Long may it continue.

The Extension and Liberty packs are the first ones you should get, completely new original stuff plus key sounds for everything
The Legacy DLCs have songs from old DJMAX games (plus a few extra), also with key sounds
As for the collab DLCs the best ones to get are ESTIMATE, Muse Dash, and Blue Archive, maybe Groove Coaster and EZ2ON too
Don't really recommend Deemo and Cytus and CHUNITHM, they cheaped out. Maybe Deemo for the P2W note skin but other than that you only want them if you really want the songs (without key sounds)
