the recommended version of elona is custom gx as other anon said, I play that one and it seems good so far

at the beginning it's kind of overwhelming and hard as fuck, I keep dying while trying to clear a required lesimas floor, there are shitton of items in this game and I already exhausted the storage limit in my starting cave, still have very little idea of what things are actually worth hoarding

Put the left over points in ardent defender

You will only use devotion aura for single target bosses for a bit more mitigation but retribution aura is amazing vs multiple enemies
You don't need kings, melee gets might and caster wisdom. If you struggle with threat they gety salvation instead.
Imp HoJ is debatable, open fights with it and you'll have another use if shit hit the fan for whatever reason. I like it because can be a life saver but it can also be totally useless while a bit more defense is useful but very low impact

For the most part ignore it. 4WD consumes more fuel and won't do anything 2WD drive doesn't already do UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS.

But let's say you're not under normal conditions. You're in mud or snow and reaching a point where you're losing traction. So you need 4WD. Here's what you do:
>put truck in park
>shift 4wd lever to H or L4
>put truck in drive
>now 4 wheels spin instead of 2
L4 means low gear and is good for driving slowly out of a bad situation or when pulling something really heavy. H is high gear and can go faster but with obviously less pulling power.

For now, just try driving it in 4H and learn how it feels. You'll burn a little extra fuel but you understanding how your new truck drives and feels is more important.

Well, if I think about why it filters me, probably movement and keeping track of things in 3D space is an issue, along with the need to think multiple steps ahead to come out on top in an encounter.
The first one is probably why space games and 6DOF shooters aren't so common (also difficulty mapping every axis on a gamepad)
The second one though I think is important, since it's a "transferable" skill. The ability to know:
>what you need to do to win
>what your OPPONENT needs to do to win
>how your opponent might react to what you need to do
>how to counter that reaction
Is a lot and I don't think it comes naturally to most people. And I think it's the same reason that other genres like fighting games, arena shooters, strategy games etc. aren't as popular.
A lot of popular multiplayer PvP games are fairly 'reactive'-friendly, ie. they react to a reactive kind of play style.

They don't really require thinking multiple steps ahead of your opponent.
