News flash blowhard, not every game wants to be another Dark Souls clone. Once upon a time there was this genre of games called *GASP* action/adventure. They didn't try to push the boundaries of difficulty or nail players' collective dick to the the proverbial wall. They were developed to provide audiences with an immersive experience that were both fun and engaging while simultaneously offering a captivating story that toed the line between historical and fiction. Like slowly dipping yourself into a bubbly Jacuzzi, these were very immersive games. An escape, a relaxing reprieve from the tedium of every day life.

But no, players like you HAVE to get your masochistic fix every waking second of every waking hour. It's all about the max difficulty, of getting your shit pushed on NG++++++++++++++++++++++ and beyond, while jamming that figurative needle into your veins, because no other high compares to that S&M play called Dark Souls.
