To drive the point home, this Vita game rerelease got screwed by every platform it tried to release on. Nintendo, Steam, even GOG. What do you expect the Japs to do? "Make their own storefront", well, good luck not getting sabotaged by payment processors like DLSite. Senran Kagura is only on Steam because it was submitted in 2018-19. If any of those games were submitted today, they would be hard-banned on sight. Steam completely refused two Dungeon Travelers games and a censored version of Tokyo Clanpool in the last two years, there is virtually zero chance they would take a new Senran Kagura. Even Inti Creates recently came out and said Steam is no longer viable for continuing Gal*Gun.

Tokyo Clanpool is an extremely niche Compile Heart Vita game that received an English translation for the first time courtesy of Eastasiasoft and even with censorship preemptively applied, it didn't even get as far as getting a store page. Low-profile games are MORE at risk of getting banned. Just look at the Steam banned games list which is 2500+ games strong now and still going.
