This ones pretty old. Though I don't remember if we knew about Dess during chapter 1.

I can imagine a "Chapter 0" as an extended flashback sequence within another Chapter
I find it hard to believe they made tiny Noelle sprites just to show their silhouette in tiny scenes in Chapter 2

The designs with Dess being more black/dark colored are the best. The Deer Sprite thing may even imply that it's true, that she's literally a "black sheep(doe)" of the family.

No, he doesn't seem to recognize them. But he's been abandoned for years, the games they played were a long time ago.
Queen on the other hand still had a connection to Noelle and the other kids in town because she was connected to the library's network, even if they didn't really "play" with her anymore. That's why King is motivated by bitter resentment while Queen genuinely wants to help the Lightners.

>Queen on her side, King on your side, Tenna in back... Oh, it was chaos, CHAOS!
Chapter 3 also connects Kris to cards in other ways, like the "Flying Aces." It seems like they liked card games because they could cheat at them, while we know Noelle has been online from a young age (explains a lot about how she's characterized now), the Spamton Sweepstakes shows that she was already blogging when she was young enough that Dess helped her type her posts.
Tenna obviously had an important place in Kris's house, but it would be hard to actually "play" with the television. There's also a lot of vague metaphorical allusions to how Tenna gradually "won" and made the house his domain as Kris and everyone else grew up and stopped playing pretend so much and spent more time in front of the TV.

You don't remember the whole scene where she talks about how they used to explore in the forest while you spell out "DECEMBER" in the normal route?
