What evidence? Literally all that FRIEND has done is appear in places and laugh.
Yes, his laugh is similar to the Knights, but that could easily be explained by the Knight's power coming from FRIEND.
The idea that this thing is somehow going to matter to the main storyline has no evidence. The "that chair will kick your ass" thing could just be talking about the ERAM stuff since that's also tied with FRIEND things. LIke how the other gacha messages tie to the side stuff of Chapter 3 (most of the others guide you in the Egg stuff).
FRIEND has NO actual presence thus far in the main storyline. He's far too complex of a thing to make a big deal in the more grounded drama around the townsfolk and Dess. Especially since Gaster's already going to be a weird thing present in the "normal" story eventually.

The difference is that Flowey established himself form the start. He introduced himself and showed he's got more to him, so seeing him following along was more of a "oh yeah, that guy, what's he doing" thing.
FRIEND isn't something the characters know about at all yet. He's literally used to represent a generic idea of a Darkner in Ralsei's explanation. And that visualization is something (YOU) see, not the characters.
He still probably is pulling shit behind the scenes, but I don't think he's going to spring up and be the final boss in the normal path of the story.

The whole point is that Kris does it because they're the only one that can.
Thanks to the (You), they can literally no-hit the knight if we're good enough.
And when you do, you get a special dialogue at the end instead of the usual bit about the knight dropping it's guard:
>* Kris coughed.
>* The enemy slowly tilted its head...
They only make that signal in the no-hit because they need to make it clear to the Knight that they're going to stop this cause she's getting trashed.
Kris is the only thing in the entire game that can literally stop us. They use the moment to knock out Susie and Ralsei in a quick motion and refuse to let us do anything else for the cutscene, letting themselves be gently knighted/lowered by the Knight.
Hell, the black screen may be LITERAL. Kris could be closing their eyes so we can't see what is really happening, only making out the glint of a blade swinging.

i mean a lot of it is still schizoposting, but it is more or less confirmed that gaster is the character creation guy who cheers you on during the knight fight and tells you that it's HIS DELTARUNE

mantle on susie
kris holdbreath first turn, defend with kris and ralsei every other turn or use them to heal when necessary
spam rude buster with susie
if ralsei dies you can get away with leaving him there but imo it's worth reviving him unless you're close to the end
you CAN beat her anon, i suck more than you and i was able to beat her. don't cheat, just keep practicing

I don't think Gaster is necessarily upset with anything going on. He's just kicking back and watching the show.
I think the red text was Dess being insistent for personal reasons while Carol was just talking about the plans systemically.
But she damn well isn't gonna have her girl get upset over some purple hussy touching her stuff.

But Gaster has never shown that kind of intervention. The most he's ever done was be SURPRISED that we keep fighting the Knight and helps us speed up reloading to the rematch. They even get excited if we reach the HyperGoner then die. Gaster himself seems to be more content with waiting, he thinks it will all come together eventually.
The Knight, however, has shown itself to be more of a schemer. It's been following us. It knows the future events and seems to shape the worlds itself each time. It seems way more likely as the one that would have done all this stuff to Jevil and Spamton. It probably wasn't in it's Knight Form when talking to them directly, hence Seam not outright saying the "strange someone" and the "strange knight" were the same person, but it could still certainly have been doing this shit in the amount of time it's had on it's hands.
Hell, Tenna seems to imply it's been in the TV World from the start. It's literally waiting at the fountain, twiddling its thumbs the whole adventure.
Or, perhaps, it's not just waiting that whole time either. Maybe it's sneaking around to play a special game with Kris in their alone time. And when they were done playing, it rewarded Kris with the armor that would let them stand a chance against it long enough to crack off another Shadow Crystal from it's own sword. ERAM does end the fight saying it can't play more because "we both have work to do".
Everything makes so much more/simpler sense for the Secret Boss stuff to be the Knight laying seeds of a rebellion while still playing it's role in the prophecy.
