You'll want to join a club and do team trials (pvp) eventually.
Stuff you can do: Daily races, Team Trials, Legend Races (when those are up), when you do any of those you can activate a "daily sale" which sells star pieces, in the club Shop you can also use your Club points to buy Star Pieces. You can use star pieces not just to increase the star rank of an uma (if they become 3 stars they get a new outfit and Unique Skill), you can also use those star pieces to UNLOCK Umas you don't have yet. But mostly the advantage of clubs is getting free carats when the rank is high enough.

In career mode you can complete runs to accumulate fans (to rank up your club) Event Points (to get rewards for the current main event) inspiration sparks (to make your next career run/PVP more powerful) get monies (so you can level up your support cards and characters), etc

When you get fans in career mode they're added to a total in your profile, when you join a club the sum of all fans determines the club rank and everybody gets free monthly carats.

Also you can request/donate shoes (items used to level up characters), when the trade happens everybody gets Club Points, which you can use in one of the Shops to buy exlusive items, including Star Pieces and SSR cards.

There's no reason to NOT join a club.

But really that's just one advantage for clubs, the main thing is getting free carats depending on your club Rank.

Basically every player has a fan count, which you get from completing races in career and a few other modes, the sum of all fans in the club determines the Club rank, and everybody gets free shit.
