I realise that gay people are very similar to us straight people. We can hear about gays having unprotected sex and getting AIDS and think 'well how about you just not do that?' but then I see straight people having children they didn't want and I think the same thing of 'Well why not just not do that'? They both get consequences for unprotected sex. Most straight people that have children would probably have AIDS if they were gay since long term planning and self control aren't their strengths. A gay person who would never risk getting AIDS is more like me than either of us are like children-havers or AIDS-havers
