i actually though of a few birds that might fit anon, i think a pigeon or a hawk might fit
anon must not start off as a sinner though, he begins the story as a normal human, gets taken in by stolas via the practice of scholomance, becomes proficient in magic and sometime down the road he either dies and becomes an avian demon OR he ascends to become a new goetia, kind of like how lilith started off as a human and later became a demon
in any case, anon and octavia become good friends and eventually lovers
