When Adventure Time made dawk and sewious beanmouth loreshit the norm

Like c’mon is it too hard to ask for a cartoon that wants to be a cartoon these days?

All you people in this thread are retards, this is a film about a dog getting neutered you expect it to not lean heavily into the raunchiness? Everyone on the internet was supportive of this film before Netflix’s shitty trailer dropped and ecelebs convinced everyone it was bad. Animators getting offended over death threats is a tad bit autistic in itself but sending death threats to animators rather than just simply not watching a film that’s not for you is retarded, literal Mr. Enter fan tier behavior.

The backlash from this film just goes to show how much of the joke the online animation community is these days, this film was made in the same vain as r-rated comedies like The Hangover, Ted, SuperBad, etc., but I guess all of the sudden since the film is animated it baaaddd, even if the film isn’t funny to you unlike the live action ones I’ve mentioned the fact that everyone got worked up over this before they’ve even watched the film just goes to show how much of oversensitive manchildren the animation community truly is, animation fans would benefit from watching non animated stuff but since they don’t kids cartoons and loreshit are mostly their expectations. Saying that anybody who likes the film is a zoophile is also retarded, literal Twitter tier BS.

People also say "le film is ugly", do you want the dogs to be attractive? Funny cause you’re the people calling Fixed fans zoophiles, the film is just Genndys artstyle but more Ren & Stimpy-like, this is the perfect artstyle to fit this kind of goofy film, it’s not even fucking ugly, the main dog is ugly cause he’s supposed to be a gross smelly dog but all the other dogs have varied designs. I’m glad we even got a 2D animated r-rated cartoonist driven film in the first place, that kind of stuff is scarce these days in a world where most other animated films are slop. Yet toonfans being the retards they are pretend that this film is on the same level of quality as normieslop like Big Mouth.

I hate how SpongeBob is the best looking cartoon on right now but it has mediocre ass writing to the point where people would instead gravitate towards Family Guy looking shit like Kiff.

Honestly SpongeBob would be in a better state if it ended when it did and we had tons of well written wacky cartoons today but instead NuBob is the only show with that style when everything else looks like ass thanks to executives.

Around the late 2010’s we got films based on old Nicktoons like:
>a Rocko movie
>a Hey Arnold movie
>an Invader Zim movie

Where was my Ren & Stimpy movie? Oh right, John K was exposed as a chomo around that time and killed the shows reputation, kill me, we could’ve had KINO

Better than seasons 13-14, probably one of the best post-movie seasons, but "best season ever"? Get real. I love the expressive Ren & Stimpy-inspired animation of the modern seasons, it’s arguably the best looking cartoon currently on TV, I especially loved "A Fish Called Sandy" with how it manages to look like a season one episode, but the show’s pretty style over substance these days. The best post movie season IMO was season 11, great animation and great writing, tons of great episodes like ChefBob and Krabby Patty Creature Feature, makes sense since Hillenburg worked on the show around that time before his passing, but the writing gradually worsened ever since he kicked the bucket.

Honestly these talented Spumco-derived artists deserve to work on something else besides NuBob, but no other tv show allows that kind of style to flourish these days cause companies would rather cheap out on beanmouth shit, the only reason NuBob has this style is cause one: the show has a higher budget from how successful it is and two: the show is too big to fail, of course they’ll take risks with it, it’ll still be running either way.

Why can’t we just bring back outsourced overseas animation? That was considered cheap in the 90’s-2000’s, pretty much every mainstream animated television show was animated by Rough Draft Korea, did it become more expensive for them to animate or something? The only shows animated by Rough Draft Korea these days are beanmouth slop and longrunners like SpongeBob and The Simpsons cause their success gives them a higher budget. Americans are too fat and lazy to draw anything more than storyboards, backgrounds, and model sheets, stop animating in American studios ffs.

Say what you want about this era, but it represented a time when Cartoon Network was experimental and willing to try new things, Adventure Time, the show that kickstarted the beanmouth and story-driven shows trend, was made cause CN wanted to see something new, and, ironically, now beanmouth has become what everyone is tired of, cause now CN and other networks keep trying to replicate the success of it, they aren’t trying to experiment and take risks like they did back then, they’re trying to hope that their new show becomes like their old show. Honestly I miss this era, absolute garbage like The Problem Solverz was born out of taking risks, modern day garbage like Tig n Seek sucks cause of how bland and generic is, it doesn’t mesmerize me for how terrible it is, it just makes me feel dead inside.

Why must all John K-influenced stuff be panned these days? Fixed is hated by the internet cause they’re brainrotted retards who think the people who made it are zoophiles, Nu-SB is hated by SpongeBoomers who think they’re making faces to create the next meme, and now /co/tards hate this.

How do we make a Ren & Stimpy inspired thing that appeals to everyone?

Its a shame he’s kind of a dick and probably a sex pest too, I really dig Ren & Stimpy-like artstyles but their reputation online is tainted by people like Kyle Carozza, oh well this Dorkymations guy looks promising, hopefully doesn’t turn out to be a deviant as well *sigh*

The issue is that we need cartoons to be ugly again, the good kind of cartoony ugly, not the "modern adult animation" kind of ugly. Beanmouth sucks because it’s so aggressively not ugly, it’s the corporate kind of cutesy.
