>can you od on melatonin? i’m making note of this
no but it's more of a signalling hormone than a sedative
i'm pretty sure more than 1mg does nothing, most products are over-dosed
some people get nightmares from too much of it
also it tends to be most helpful in cases where your body doesn't produce sufficient melatonin on its own, like if you have to sleep somewhere with alot of ambient light

can you make an infinite board of minesweeper?
but like chunk-based, so that a single move doesn't try to load the emptiness of hte entire map & crash the game
o algo

i always thought it would be funny if the state put convicted criminals brains in a vat & forced them to play infinite minesweeper, or maybe solve captchas

>It's interesting because personally I lose track of time when generating images or even trying one of those AI chats.
yeah
i think it's easy to feel like you're working at NASA or achieving apotheosis or something, even when it's just wasting time
that's how you get some of these schizos who think they discovered some sort of jailbreak or made it sentient or achieved symbiosis, by talking to a pre-trained model
>It's up on yourself to not be consumed for that kind of "entertainment", but I can tell that it is somehow addictive
agreed
it's strange for sure
some forms of "entertainment" can be invasive or consume people, but it's kind of a feat to be able to create new ones which aren't drugs...

he made like three or four really popular albums as joji, i remember at his peak there was a huge banner ad in times square in NYC
i haven't heard joji mentioned a single time in the past 2 years though, i guess it was sort of a one-off trend
dunno though...

well i usually buy the 3mg chewable ones & just bite little chips off
most melatonin products are over-dosed
anything below 1mg is good

melatonin will help alot if you have to sleep with very much ambient light
it's also very useful for fixing/maintaining a sleep schedule
but it's not a sedative which will knock you out, and sadly i don't think there is one of those which is safe to use night after night
i remember being at the luxor hotel in vegas in like 2017 or 2018, can't remember exactly
there were so many moths in the spotlight that there were BATS eating the moths out of the air, it was cool to see

also, i remember there was a giant room sealed off with glass in the lobby, with several rows of tables & gaming PCs
basically, it was a room to drop off your teenage kids so they could play destiny 2 & have a LAN party for a few hours while you go gambling
i thought that was funny
