I mean, Wilds is insultingly easy.

You can, and many did, beat HR Arkveld easily using base HR gear. There is no progression of gear because the game is so easy that you have no drive to improve any of it. And the funny thing is that when you do want to improve gear, you get it incredibly quickly thanks to the game telling you you'll get a fucking mantle or gem before you even bother starting the quest.
Focus Mode is legitimately a game-ruining mechanic. I think it's significantly worse than the Clutch Claw. It's the most egregious casualization I've ever seen in ANY game.
So the gameplay's not good, the game has no longevity because you're done with HR about 5 hours into it, and it's not even fun to just hunt stuff to hunt stuff because the entire roster is, no exaggeration, easier than Great Jagras.
