it is i, gravity-camera anon from a few threads ago and i have a new issue i cannot solve

i have this code thats meant to check for the ground, but it detects the ground too low and causes my character to slowly sink
the obvious fix is to just move the collision sphere higher, but if i do that then it cant detect the ground low enough for slopes.

what do i do in this scenario bwos? help would be very appreciated

ive been trying to figure out how to rotate the camera to match gravity in unity, and ive gotten really close but theres a major issue.
when gravity changes, it fucks up the cameras rotation (for example, if gravity is up the controls get inverted)

cam.rotation = Quaternion.LookRotation(camRot*Vector3.forward,-Physics.gravity);

does anyone know how i could make it work? been stuck on this for days now
