All MMOs should include a side system that is level and progression agnostic that you can jump into soon after character creation.
Think FFXIV's gold saucer, but more expanded, minigames that showcase the game's mechanics, movement-based puzzles, combat simulation, co-op activities, and so on that everyone can partake in and has a side-currency associated to it so that it remains attractive to everyone, fill it with cosmetic grinds, maybe some consumable QoL buff that you can use in the rest of the world if you run out of cosmetics for veterans and you've got the perfect formula for player onboarding and early retention.
