RIP in peace old man, will always remember him for the general role in Behind Enemy Lines, awesome movie.
What a sad end, shows not even celebrities are safe from tragedies like that as opposed to what we naively have come to expect, as if they're shielded from hazards we regular people are exposed to. He and his wife and dog were pretty isolated from the rest of the world apparently. Respect to her broad for sticking with him even in illness, RIP to her too, and the dog

Convenience is the death of soul. The 21st century has been all about making things more convenient but also more boring and lifeless.

Meh, I don't mind his videos, in fact I liked the Concordia and Fagout 76 ones, but his latest sucked, it was painfully unfunny when he tried to be humorous, coming off as forced, the pacing was also dull, all these things combined I don't know how I stopped myself from closing the tab.

What a stinker, you could feel he didn't actually want to make this video which leaves me wondering why you made the (half assed) effort if your heart wasn't there to begin with. Is he gonna collapse like Lord Bung or whatever that SCP animator was called? Remember that catastrophe?
His next video better be good

Censorship is bad simple as. It would be one thing if Steam decided on their own accord to not host those games but this is imposed on them, and it's not imposed on them by a parent company or by investors but by payment processors, a 3rd party. These games are not illegal, they aren't even particularly morally despicable, it's two companies that have a duopoly on transactions that want to play regulator and it should not be tolerated.

Furthermore, it sets a terrible precedent, now it's video games with subjectively questionable content but what comes next? Where do you draw the line? Give an inch they take a mile, it is understood that payment processors are allowed a duopoly because it simplifies things for everyone but in exchange they remain neutral, follow regulations and shut the fuck up. That contract is broken.

makes me almost cry anytime I listen to it. I don't know why it resonates with me so hard, he didn't deserve that.
It's a good game, probably on par with MG2, and I like that it's kinda Metal Gear Solid Gaiden.

You should reconsider Phantom Pain. With 10 years of hindsight (and DS and DS2 to go along with it), it's much easier to see what it was and how it succeeded. I think MGSV was polarizing because people didn't realize that MGS was evolving in that direction at all--because *most* people didn't play Portable Ops or Peace Walker. Even returning to those games, think neither of them feel right played outside of a handheld. Their entire design and MO and presentation is so steeped in a handheld experience. Which doesn't mean you have to play it on the bus or something, but context matters in that way. Worse yet is that the PSP is kind of a shitty handheld and its dumb little analog niblet thing feels awful to touch with human hands. With what was done in MGS1-4, I don't think there was another evolution there, which is why MGS4 was such an overblown super-cinematic mega-capper. Kojima is only interested in true sequels, he never rehashes or does base iteration. I will buy and play Delta just because I'm excited for a new Metal Gear any way I can get it, but I sure think Peace Walker could be redone and corrected for the record. There are zero good ways to play that game, and its handheld DNA is so yucky and obvious when you try to pretend its something more. Plus I'd love a fresh chance to experience its weird-ass Monster Hunter bosses with another person.

Can't wait to see what the hell PHYSINT will be.

I... I used to, I guess. Not anymore. I have desires that sometimes rear their heads, and I daydream a lot, but I know it's a LARP I do to pass the time and delude myself. I cannot find anything within myself to motivate me to do anything bar the bare minimum. I don't even wish for things anymore. Half because I know I don't deserve it, half because I am kinda enjoying the misery. I feel empty of sorts. Even my melancholy is forced and fake these days. I think I am slowly being drained of everything. Maybe I'll end up a husk who's okay with the mess he's made of everything, I don't know.
