It wasn't Letterman's call. He said he'd have wanted a woman for the job, but Dave says stuff like that because you can't prove he doesn't mean it. He was disappointed that Colbert got it. Colbert didn't really want it either. They kind of talked him into doing it. Late night is ruined because Kimmel is the best of the 11:30 guys but he's all in with the politics. Colbert sucks for that same reason. Fallon is just awful, and I won't watch him even without the politics. Meyers has the smartest show, but I don't like him much and don't stay up that late.
