The inner circle is a group of developers from the threads and the discord who have formed something like a union as a way to control the hierarchy of the community. They are the most oversocialized and active posters who view gamedev as a social activity where a game only has value insofar as a dev is likeable and participates in local culture, and a game's overall quality is completely ignored.
They are a cancer because they turned this place into a self-cannibalizing self-fellating feminized popularity contest instead of a place where people post the games they are working on. Posters are encouraged to act like clowns, while posters who make consistent and visible progress are ignored because they don't act friendly enough or some other made up bullshit
