Creative persons: do you ever feel, in a vague sense, spiritually unwell after a large degree of output? Jung describes in Modern Man in Search of a Soul two types of artistic design: that which occurs along known and diagnosed lines of understanding (trite pop-art/genre fiction,) and that which derives from connection with the spirit of an age/collective unconscious. It is implied that the latter, besides naturally making for better work, is akin to the daemonic influence known in the Greek era. This is a similar basis to how he describes mental illness at the metaphysical level.

I‘ve been finishing up a novel which has occupied my thoughts for a long time and after banging out three chapters over a weekend recently (very concentrated for me) I felt sort of, I guess, disintegrate. There were a few days following where it took me very concentrated effort and meditation to get back down to earth. Not quite what Rilke described as the "Hurricane" which almost killed him to complete the Duino Elegies but maybe a heavy rainstorm or something of the kind.

Any similar experiences?

Some time in highschool I suppose which was a little over 2 decades ago.
It really wasn't until maybe the start of this decade that I had given up on everyone.
I found that people are not only fucking retarded and shitty but they WANT to be that way. They pride themselves in it.
They intentionally make themselves retarded for the sake of their perceived team..their tribe. Willingly stampeding into certain doom.
Dumb fucking herd animals.

I know it all sounds like edgy teenager bullshit but man oh man has it been on display in full force near constantly this decade.
I am shifting my goals in life to just get away from all of this. I spent the first half of my life hoping we will all uplift and humanity as a whole will move into new enlightened futures. I'm going to spend this second half of my life decoupling myself from the rest and uplifting myself.
