Not really. In the end, the xenophobes and the racists proved right, and all they wanted to do was to protect us.
Games like BG3 and Mass Effect 1 have a slight liberal bias in that there is an implicit "good guy" choice by being open and kind-hearted, and the "renegade" choice is killing the bad guys and putting humanity first, and that slight bias is due to the fact the writers are liberals. The only reason why BG3 and ME1 work, however, is that they kept their biases under check a little bit. In BG3 they'll at least mention "you know, the Grove was a lot safer before we let these outsiders in" or in ME1 you'll get to see that other alien races are kind of racist/speciest towards humans too so if you don't adopt a "humanity first" approach, the other aliens will walk all over us. Liberals are capable of being good writers if they humble themselves a bit and ask the question "What if I'm wrong? What are the potential pitfalls of my own belief system?" as is the same with Nationalists.
