Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Both Steam and Nintendo have similar policies now, arguably even worse than Sony's original policies. Ecchi games were completely deplatformed well before orange man stepped back into the White House.

>You MAYBE can't get it in one country
vs
>It simply can't be made any more because converged platforms block it globally, even in Japan.
Australia has been blocking and discriminating against these games for years, but they were still being made... until Sony brought the hammer down on them and then Steam and Nintendo followed.

>it's practically the elephant in the room that ever eroge in the west has to roll a dice on whether steam release will be approved.
If it has cute anime girls it has a big chance to get banned, western pornslop never gets touched.

Steam even bans games that are released on SONY consoles.

Steam does too and they have the PC market on lockdown. PCfags don't wanna admit this, but they let Valve turn PC into basically another console. Now PC is effectively just as much of a closed ecosystem as consoles because anything that can't release on Steam just dies anyway. This is what "no Steam no buy" and the insistence on a "consistent library" got you.

And?
Are you saying they can't sell anime fanservice games (ports even, of games that were ALREADY SOLD) on US soil?

Trials of Innocence, an Ace Attorney imitator. It's also possible that fear of this has been motivating bans on games like pic related.

That is when Steam doesn't just ban them outright. WalMart-distributed Vita game by the way, and it was even based on the censored Western version.

Steam is just as jewish.

Fuck off, they all should have restrictions placed on this "muh brand" bullshit. Developers are being muzzled and effectively denied free speech because they're getting blocked out of all the important market access points. It was one thing when it was just Sony, or just Sony and Microsoft, but ALL of them!? For shit that isn't even illegal? You can't say this system isn't broken.

Current year Steam will not take an uncompromised Senran Kagura game. Even Gal*Gun isn't feasible for it any more.

That's not happening; Valve does not review banned games unless someone or something credibly threatens them.

It'll just run into the same roadblocks and won't have Google and Apple to fall back on like it would as a gacha. Why do you think companies like Compile Heart and Aquaplus are struggling so much and why Senran Kagura is dead to this day?
